Care instructions for children's functional clothing
At namuk, we place great importance on ensuring that children's outdoor clothing is used for as long as possible - and this includes proper care. In addition to general care instructions, you will find comprehensive guides and tips below on how to correctly wash functional clothing to maintain the quality and functionality of the materials.
General care instructions
- Reading labels: Always check the care labels on the clothing before washing. These provide important information on appropriate washing temperatures and care instructions.
- Detergent: Whenever possible, use a mild, liquid detergent without fabric softener. Fabric softener can damage the functional membranes of the clothing. For waterproof and water-repellent functional clothing, we recommend Nikwax Tech Wash or similar products.
- Washing temperature: Wash your outdoor clothing at low temperatures (30-40°C) to protect the materials. Detailed temperature instructions can be found on the garment's label.
- Spinning: Avoid heavy spinning. A low spin cycle protects the fibers and extends the clothing's lifespan.
- Refreshing impregnation: After several washes, the clothing's impregnation may diminish. Use special impregnation sprays or impregnating detergents to restore the water-repellent layer.
